Jim von Gremp

I wanted to let everyone know that one of our members, Jim von Gremp, is currently undergoing treatment at the MD Anderson cancer center in Houston. He and Susan are living in an apartment near the hospital.

Jim will turn 71 on October 21st. I think it would lift his spirits if he received a LOT of birthday wishes next week. If you want to send him a card, here is his mailing address:

2020-21 Skins Game Calendar

The calendar now shows all skins game events for the upcoming season, so you can sign up now. We will again be starting at 11 AM every Monday and Friday.

Please take time to sign up now, especially for November and December, so I can work with Steve to refine the number of tee times he has reserved for us. Thanks, and see you soon.

Winter Plans

I hope everyone had a good summer and stayed safe. Due to COVID-19, I suspect many of you will alter your normal winter plans, so the number of tee times we need for the skins game each week could be considerably different from past years. Therefore I ask that you take a moment to let me know your plans, so that I can ask Steve to block tee times for us.

I know things could change, but to the best of your knowledge, when do you plan to be in PV and playing in the skins game this year? Your answer can be as specific as arrival and departure dates or as general as “Late December through mid-March.”

League Events Canceled

All remaining league events for the season have been canceled. In accordance with El Tigre’s social distancing measures, you will need to make tee times and provide the golf shop with the names of all players in advance. The website calendar cannot be used to sign up to play until further notice.

Games Night March 16th

Games Night – Monday, March 16th, 4:00 – 7:00 pm

Come out and join the fun!  

This week we are playing Gin Rummy.  Come early for Happy Hour; please bring 20 pesos to buy-in and a deck of cards.

*Plan to be at the next Cribbage Tournament – March 23rd.  Register you & your partner early please!  (We will play in pairs).
