Blood Donation Request

As many of you may already be aware, one of our El Tigre players, Bob Tormey, is battling a serious medical condition that is requiring an immediate series of blood transfusions.   He is currently receiving treatment with a need for a supply of donated blood.  Donations are NOT type or sex specific.  Donors must be no older than 65, however.  

If you are able to participate, the hospital information is below.  They open at 7:00 a.m. each day.  One can have nothing to eat for 10 hours prior and must bring your passport.  You should go to the Emergency Desk and indicate you wish to donate blood in the name of Robert Tormey.

New Calendar and Pairings Changes for Skins Game

I have made (and Gerard has fixed) a few changes to the website:

  • I have capped the number of players at 24 for each event. When we reach 24 players, the checkbox will be disabled.
  • The calendar will show the number of players currently signed up. I.e., (23/24) means we only have room for one more player. If, after reaching (24/24), a player who is signed up later withdraws, the checkbox will be re-enabled and the count will show (23/24) again.
  • The pairings email will show the tee time for each team, just to the right of the team number.
  • The pairings email will show the bet sequence (below the pairings).

New Downloads Link on Website

I have added a Downloads link to the red menu bar on the website. From there, you can download PDFs of one or more of the new combo scorecards: Blue/White and White/Gold for men, and the new Gold/Red for women.

New Women’s Combo Tees

We now have new Gold/Red combo tees for women to play. You can download a PDF of the scorecard from the new Downloads link on the website, and you can post scores from these new tees in the My Handicap app. Meanwhile, here it is:

Combo Tees on Phone

Until we have new scorecards that include the combo tees, and as an alternative to using the temporary scorecards Steve Johnson has printed, here is a suggestion. If you carry a smartphone, bookmark this page on your phone. You can then refer to it to determine which holes you play forward and which you play back, but actually keep score on the standard scorecards. And to avoid having to refer to your phone during the round, you might want to use that bookmarked page on your phone before the round, and just circle the hole numbers on your scorecard for those holes where you play the forward tees.
